Our START

From pizzas to toilet paper: how GBC got its start.


Founded in 1999 by Greg Santaga, Green Bay Converting (GBC) started in a small leased workspace (a former pizza factory) with only 5 converting assets and 25 employees. GBC now consists of a dynamic team of 150 employees with operations in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and additional offices in Dallas, Texas.

With an explicit focus on contract converting capabilities, GBC has become North America’s leading independent contract converter of sanitary towel, tissue, and wiper products. The rapid expansion of GBC can be credited to GBC’s unwavering commitment to our customers, which has been recognized with numerous awards in customer service and converting ability. Our experienced team has been our strongest asset in becoming a trusted resource to provide quality, cost-effective products and services to the world’s premier towel and tissue companies.

Green Bay Converting has two locations, strategically located in the North (Green Bay, WI) and South (Hattiesburg, MS). This allows GBC to intelligently plan and deliver the most value to customers.

Both cities offer a talented pool of employees with the work ethic and manufacturing expertise needed to keep GBC one of the leading contract manufacturing operations in the United States. Each manufacturing plant is staffed with experienced plant managers and quality teams. Delivering quality products and service, above and beyond scope, is our ultimate goal as a company.
