POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to assist the machine operator by performing general manual labor duties such as placing product in cases, stacking cases on pallets, and all other similar duties as assigned.

 

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Assists the machine operator by performing manual labor tasks on a variety of paper converting equipment.
  • Assists the machine operator with roll changes and other duties.
  • Makes cartons and places product in cartons.
  • Inspects product to meet customer quality criteria
  • Seals product cartons and stacks cartons on pallets.
  • Operates shrink wrap machine (manual or automated).
  • Fills recycle bins with paper for recycling.  Empties recycle bins.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment in a paper converting manufacturing facility to ensure production continuity and efficiency.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Safely trouble shoot, repair, and maintain paper converting equipment, including rewinding and folding capabilities.

  • Respond to operator, quality, and/or supervisor requests on equipment specifications.
  • Knowledge in electronic components, PLC controls, AC/DC drives and motors, servo drives and motors, sensors,
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Ability to look up components in electrical/mechanical manuals and submit into an order form.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and document accordingly.
  • Knowledge in Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Read and understand electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
  • Perform LOTO and Arc Flash.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in operating a welder, torch, plasma cutter, mill, lathe, drill press, common power tools and hand tools
  • Able to use micrometers, indicators, Multimeters, and  Megohmmeters
  • Perform grade changes; log saw blade changes, slitter changes, perf blade changes on equipment when needed.
  • Safely use scissors lifts, high lifts, hoist, lift trucks, lifting straps, chain falls, etc.
  • Able to perform general Building and Grounds tasks.
  • Active in First Aid, CPR, First Responder and Safety Committee.
  • All other duties as assigned by management/supervision staff.
  • Maintains a clean work area
  • Keep tools clean, neat and orderly
  •   May assist operators or crewmembers with machine start-up, shutdown or clean up.
  •   May assist with cleaning out trim systems, baler jams, etc.

  •   May order parts and/or pick up parts from suppliers.

  •   May travel between company buildings with personal transportation.

  •   Carry work cell phone during scheduled hours.

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to perform Material Handling tasks within the plant to support machine production schedules, finished product shipping and recycling/ waste removal activities.  It will also include the bailer position duties.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Safely operates a variety of material handling equipment such as fork lifts, clamp lifts, box clamps, etc.
  • Monitor material levels on machines and deliver materials in a timely manner.
  • Issue correct raw materials, finishing supplies, and recycle/waste receptacles to production machines without damaging the materials.
  • Monitor finished product on machines, and remove without damage to warehouse or load directly onto truck.
  • Store finished product in proper warehouse bay.
  • Remove and store unused raw materials and finishing supplies during product changes on the machine.
  • Load/unload raw materials or finished goods from semi trucks.
  • Accurately complete material handlers recording sheets for quantities, grades, waste and item numbers.
  • Empties recycle bins from machines and operates waste baler.
  • Operates shrink wrap machines.
  • Removes and bands large cores from parent rolls.
  • Notifies semi drivers of full trucks.
  • Supplies skids to machines.
  • Required to stack raw materials and finished goods safely to heights of 20 or more feet.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Changes batteries or propane cylinders on lift trucks as necessary.

Performs typical rewinder and folding operations to support production.

  • Will perform and apply all aspects of grade changes for assigned asset.
  • Will understand the Embossing Roll System and be able to perform tasks involving these rolls.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing and setting to standard, the vacuum system.
  • Responsible for the management of the Package System, the count System, and the Separation and Transfer Assembly.
  • Responsible for Bander Knife and Anvil cutoff system.
  • Responsible for the standard settings for semi-automatic folders.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
  • Will be required to perform other duties ads requested, directed or assigned.
